Angus was found wandering the streets. After being held at the shelter for the alotted time, the grouchy old man was looking at not much hope. An Orphan Dog volunteer went into the shelter and saw him, and knowing his likely fate, took him home.
Angus is a grouchy man when things he hates (puppies, medicine, washing his face) bother him. He is a sweet little guy that just wants to hang out with his human the other time. He does sleep in a crate and would love to sleep with a human.
We just had his dental completed and he lost all his teeth. His eyes are cloudy, but fine for his age. He seems to not hear very well. In general, he has some energy to follow you around the house and jump up on a bed so that he is near you while you do your thing.
To learn more about him or to apply to adopt this little bundle of silliness, go to OrphanDog.org.
All Orphan Dogs are fostered in private homes by volunteers who graciously take time from work and home life to care for our orphans. We do not have a facility, most dogs are transported to our scheduled Adoption Events!
Our van is limited on space and because of this sometimes dogs will get time off if the van is overfull. Other arrangements may be made for meeting a dog the dog if circumstances prevent you from being able to make it to events. Remember again though that volunteers, foster dogs in their spare time so we encourage you to try to attend the events.
