Barbara Stray-sand (aka “Babs”) earned her name because she was found as a stray during a week of heavy rain. Although it’s clear she lived indoors at some point in her life, her foster mom thinks she must have been on her own for a while. After just a few days adjusting to life indoors, she has become the sweetest, most mild-mannered cat ever. When she was first found she was very dirty, and she’s so easygoing that she even let her foster mom give her a bath! In her future home, she would like to spend her days lounging in a ray of sunshine, and her evenings cuddling up with you and a fuzzy blanket. She has a funny little meow, and she can be quite a conversationalist! She doesn't seem too keen on other cats, probably from her days on the streets. Although she’s never met dogs or children that we’re aware of, she would likely do fine with gentle dogs or children. Babs is still adjusting to life in the lap of indoor luxury, and she does best when gradually introduced to larger spaces, so keeping her in a small space (such as a bathroom) when she first comes home is a great idea. Babs is just a great all-around low-maintenance cat – give her a chance, and you won’t regret it.
