Hello there! My name is Bravo, and I'm quite the lucky little 15-pound Shih Tzu, if I do say so myself. A few months back, a kind soul found me wandering in rural Virginia, clearly family-less and quite out of sorts. Flash forward to last week, when I was recovering from surgery in the comfort of a vet's office, my newly cleaned pearly whites flashing when I smiled, my coat trimmed for the summer heat, and my eyes much less cloudy because of the daily drops I receive. Today, I'm living large in my foster parents' home with 2 dog brothers, 2 cats, and my own bed and crate. Everyone over the past few weeks has been pleased with the increased pep in my step ( I think I look and move pretty well for 10 years old!). I'm working to gain back the weight I lost while roaming around, and my foster mom's constant supply of treats and the extra meal seem to be helping. I didn't even need a house-training refresher, and I love falling asleep in my crate snuggled into my blanket. Life's not too shabby; my rescue organization really pulled through!
However, now I can set my sights on a forever family. I'm getting to be hard of hearing, so I'll need a family with a little more patience about finding ways to get my attention. Aside from that, I know I'll be perfect with kids, cats, other dogs, and folks of all ages. I love talking strolls in the park near my fosters' home, and I also quite content to sit quietly at your feet in the evenings. I don't mind being carried a little distance, but I prefer to explore on my own when possible.
Are you the perfect match for me? With all I've been through, I'm really just looking for a family who can appreciate my cuteness and make sure I continue to be healthy and happy in my second decade. Please contact my foster if this might be you!
