Own Me, Own my Heart!
Own Me, Own my Heart! Carrick is a male gray domestic short hair, with white mittens.
Carrick and his litter mates were born under a shed in the first week of March 2006. They were discovered only when the property was sold. Fortunately, the new owner wanted to help them. She contacted one of our volunteers, who spent weeks patiently trapping the scared little kittens. The younger kittens are when they are socialized, the easier it is for them to relate to humans. Carrick was the second-to-last kitten to be caught, so he was quite shy for the longest time. For years, Carrick hid whenever adopters came, and we had almost given up hope of him ever finding a home.
Recently, an amazing personality change came over Carrick ... this formerly shy kitten grew up into a friendly adult cat. One day sitting in the living room there was a head bump on my elbow. Without thinking, I reached down the pet the kitty. Looking down, I was amazed to see ... Carrick?!
This formerly shy kitten has grown into a friendly cat, seemingly overnight. Carrick likes people, and is a friendly cat. When he wants your attention, he'll give you a little head bump to let you know he would like to be petted. He likes to snuggle, and watch TV next to you.
Carrick gets along OK with other cats. He enjoys but does not require their presence. He could do well either as an only cat, or in a family with other feline members.
If you think Carrick could fit into your family, please give us a call to come and meet him.
Call Kitty Corner at 315-457-4420 or fill out our adoption application at www.kittycorner.org to meet our adoptable cats and adopt a new member of your family.
Carrick tests negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and all shots are up to date.
Kitty Corner has a lifetime return policy. If your adopted cat needs to be rehomed at any time, just bring them back to us. We want to be sure that none of our cats is ever homeless again.
