Sanford, NC

Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

Cleo, short for Cleopatra, a very powerful woman when she was human. Now in cat form, she was living a life of luxury with her human before she passed away. Cleo came to CARA and demanded to be put in Foster CARA for awhile. Cleo's foster home was a place that she ruled anyone and everything in the house. She had the humans and dogs trained. Now, she is residing in CARA ruling the young ones to do what she says. She is our CARA Cat Diva. She always gains respect with anyone she encounters. She may be 15 years old (October 1, 1998), but she gained good non-aging genes from her parents. Cleo does not act like a cat who is in her golden years. She is still frisky and full energy. One of her favorite things to do is ride around on everyone's shoulder. If you are not some place where she can just walk on your shoulders, she will claw up your body to get to your shoulder.
Cleo may gain and expect respect out of every human and animal, but this gal does have a soft spot. She loves to give some lovin' and receive lovin' back. She does get spoiled here at CARA and gets wet food twice a day along with dry food. You could say she gets her way with everyone, but the workers and volunteers here do not mind because we all love Cleo and have a soft spot for this beautiful older cat. Please come and see Cleo and see why we love her so much her during our opening hours. We would love to give this gal a furever home where she can live out her Golden Years in the life luxury.

Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
