They say there's someone for everyone, we hope this is true, for Eddie's sake!
-- Eddie is a blind and deaf senior Cocker Spaniel. Eddie is a former Abandoned Angel that was adopted out in 2008. Sadly, his mom has to move back to India to care for her aging parents. She is heartbroken to surrender Eddie back to our rescue, but believes he cannot handle the transition. Eddie is now back with our rescue, though unable to recognize us this time around. Eddie went blind from painful glaucoma and the vet who treated him during that time recommended that his eyes be removed. Over the years, he also lost his hearing due to age. Though Eddie is blind and deaf, he is very spry and has a zest for life. Eddie loves to be around people. He is very affectionate and loving. He navigates himself around the home extremely well and even gets on and off furniture to our amazement. His keen sense of smell takes over. He can sense when someone enters the room. Because of his medical impairments, however, Eddie can only be placed in a home with other dogs who are very gentle and do not mind him bumping into them. He is a very special Angel in need of a very special person to shower him with loads of attention and love. Could this person be you? If you would like to adopt this gentle soul in need of a new loving parent, please submit an application via our website at www.nyabandonedangels.com.
