Edith is a courtesy posting. See info below from her mom. Please contact g / Gretha Loubser | (408) 307-6421 for additional information.

I'm absolutely heartbroken that I have to do this. I am recently unemployed, which has led me to move back in with parents. Unfortunately, they have three dogs and I cannot have Edith roam freely around the house as the dogs are not cat-friendly. Currently, she is staying in one of the bedrooms, which I do not believe is a sustainable living situation for her.

About Edith:

Let me start with her medical history. Edith has an inflamed bowel. She's on a 5mg of prednisolone every other day - crushed in her food or pilled orally (whichever is easier). My vet also put her on a specific food that seemed to help control her tummy a bit: Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PV Dry Cat Food.

With the medication and food, her symptoms are very well under control. I haven't had any issues with it since I started her on this regimen a year and a half ago. (However, I think down the line it would be worth exploring other treatment options since prolonged steroid use in cats isn't ideal).

Other than the medical issue, she's really very low maintenance - and a complete sweetheart.

She's an indoor cat. Again, she's very petite (last time we weighed her she was around 9 lbs) and can shy around strangers. Once she warms up to you, though, she's a snuggle bug and quite playful. She likes to lay next to or on top of you if you're on the couch or the bed. She's generally pretty mellow, but she does get the zoomies every now and then - especially when she gets into the catnip : )

I'd LOVE for her to go to a home where she's an only cat or maybe with one other cat. At her previous foster home, she lived with a bunch of other cats and it wasn't ideal for her. She's not aggressive, but since she's so tiny I think she felt intimidated. She spent most of her time hiding and would then run to scarf down a bit of food before the other cats would finish it all. I really don't want her to live like that again.
