Freddy came from the basement of a vacant house in Paterson and he was scared and unsure of people when he first arrived to 11th Hour, which made it hard for him to trust. He has come a long way though! After Freddy has met you and knows you don’t want to hurt him, you’ve become a friend to him for life. The ONLY time Freddy has ever made a peep is when he lets out some squeals of excitement when he sees his favorite friends coming to his kennel run. Once he’s happily with his humans, Freddy is polite and quiet – content to just enjoy good company. Freddy is a simple man, he enjoys milk-bones meant for tiny puppies, rope toys that have squeaky stuffed animals on them, and is happiest when he’s able to roll around on a comfy blanket in the backseat of your car. He’s the perfect car companion, always up to take a few selfies, stop for a burger, or even just take a long nap while you enjoy a peaceful sunny day. Freddy loves to cuddle, and will take a seat right on your lap! He doesn’t quite realize how muscular he is, so he would do best in a home without children both because we don’t want him to knock any small humans over and because he would really thrive in a quieter environment. An ideal family for Freddy would let him be an only child, both human and animal wise, and would preferably be an adult couple, or single person looking for a canine companion. He really enjoys long walks in the park, short walks in the yard, or just some lazy couch-potato style bonding – so no matter your lifestyle, Freddy is happy just to spend time with you.
