UPDATE: Fritzi will be available for adoption in November or December of 2017. She will be undergoing her second TPLO surgery in August and will need a 12 -16 week recovery time. Please check back for an update
This pretty girl has a new name to go with her new life. Meet Fritzi!
She's a sweet 3 - 4 year old boxer girl that somehow found herself in the shelter. She has been to the vet and had her checkup. She is now spayed (no more puppies) and heartworm negative - Yay!
Her foster parents have already learned that she's dog friendly and that she LOVES people. She follows them wherever they go, being sure to stick close and watch everything that they do.
She doesn't seem to know any commands, but she's a smart girl and will learn quickly. She needs to gain some weight and when she does, she'll be on the medium to large size. Probably in the 60 - 65 lb range. She's already put on a few pounds and weighs in at 61 lbs.
During her vet visit, the vet found a small lump and removed it. There were some mast cells present, but it was a grade 1 with good margins, which is the best possible news. She's on benadryl twice a day for 6 weeks. As with ALL boxers, any lump or bump will need to be looked at by the vet.
Fritzi is not a fan of cats, so absolutely no cats in her new home.
Fritzi's favorite thing to do is to be upside down. If you have the time and a spare hand, she's always willing to go belly up for a good belly rub.
Fritzi is good with other dogs as long as they are calm and laid back. She prefers to be the boss, so her doggy friends need to be submissive and let her be the Queen of the castle.
She is fully vetted and ready for her forever home.
