Handsome DSH Black Male FIV+
Hercules is a big, handsome 3 and 1/2 year old short-haired black with a tiny white neck pendant neutered male. He is very sweet and loves pets and attention, but does not care to be picked up or held. He was rescued as a stray who'd been fending for himself on the streets for too long which show in his scars. He gets along well with his docile FIV+ roommates. He is FIV+ which is the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. It is only contagious to other cats. It means his immune system is a little weaker than average, but most cats with FIV live long healthy lives as long other cats and can be with with other FIV+ cats or if you Veterinarian agrees, cats that are vaccinated for FIV. We don't know about dogs, but he might be O.K. with cat-friendly dogs. He should not be around young children, but should be O.K. with cat-friendly older children who will not try to pick him up. Come meet this sweet big boy.
