From the Foster:
Ivie is a joy and will make someone very happy!! She is incredibly sweet and affectionate with people. She is a very tolerant and easy going girl who loves kids and adults alike, rides like a champ in the car, and loves to walk around outside and sniff and play in the grass! She would love a fenced yard where she can relax and explore.
Ivie is a pretty mellow dog who would be fine living in an apartment with a good walk every day or two. Unfortunately she does not get along with cats, most dogs, or other critters! She walks well on a leash and is easily re-directed of another dog passes us or she gets distracted. She has lived with a male dog before and done fine, but it would take a very particular type of male friend and would take time and slow introductions to make it work out long term.
Ivie's training is coming along fairly well, she knows sit, stay, no, off, leave it and kennel. She does well in the kennel, but we usually leave her out & have had no issues!
We are sure that whoever meets Ivie will fall in love!

If you live in MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, or IL and would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/ and the foster(s) will be in touch! Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s). You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in.
Note - We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt that animal. We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.
