Jessie was rescued before she wandered into the path of traffic on a very busy intersection in Lafayette as a 6-7 week old kitten. She was very friendly and came willingly to her rescuers, which suggested that she was used to people and she got dumped in the area she was found. After she got spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and her first kitten vaccination, Jessie was adopted the first week of August 2014. However, the young lady that adopted Jessie had to move out of state and couldn’t take Jessie with her, so Jessie was returned back to her foster home a month and half after being adopted.
Jessie is a solid black little lady at about approximately 5 months old with quite a purr motor, very good manners and loves attention, especially belly rubs. Her favorite thing to play with is empty boxes of any size – she likes hiding inside the box and pouncing on the other two foster kittens when they pass by her hiding place. Jessie gets along well with her younger foster-mates but isn’t too friendly with the bigger and older cats at the foster home. She’s also not quite too sure about dogs either.
