This cute dog is Jessie and she had been on the streets with Rex and Sting. This sweet girl was friendly on the streets and with the warmer weather she was getting bit a lot by fleas and other bugs. So, she did w hat any dog would do, scratch. And she scratched a lot and soon her head and ears were a big angry sore. She wasn’t going to get better just by putting ointments on it, so we decided it was time to bring her to safety.
Jessie is currently in a foster home, she has been to the vet’s office and her head looks much, much better. In her short time in her foster home, she has learned to be house trained (she was strictly an outside only dog before)! She is still cautious around new people, but making big strides (thanks foster mom!). Jessie likes other dogs, but isn’t a fan of the feline kind of friends. She likes to follow her foster mom everywhere but is starting to get more independent. Give her some belly rubs and she'll shower you with kisses. She likes to sleep in her own bed and is crate trained.
We’re hoping to be able to get Jessie and Rex together to visit since they were on the streets for so long together. They have another friend Slinky that our Street Team still sees and feeds so hopefully we can find a foster for him in the near future and bring the little “band” back together!
Jessie is a very sweet dog and would be a wonderful addition to any home. Her adoption fee is $200 which covers her vaccinations, spay and microchip.
