Ms. Lottie is in her new foster home in Kitty Hawk, NC! Lottie is a fabulous girl - friendly, still playful but also enjoys snuggle time. She's a super sweet, settled, affectionate girl!
Lottie is a wonderful adult boxer mix and she has charm to spare! Lottie was rescued from a parking lot (hence, the name 'Lottie') in 2007 when she was about a year old and she spent 6 years at a wonderful shelter there. Since coming to her NC foster home Lottie has decided that the "indoor life" is much more to her liking and she's enjoying time spent with her foster mom, the kids in her foster home ( 9 yrs and 14 yrs old), and her foster fur-sister (a senior female dog). Lottie is inquisitive, attentive, and has a warmth that is irresistible. If you are looking for a wonderful companion who still has energy to play, but who also is settled and knows how to relax in spending quiet time with you, Lottie is your girl!
Lottie's approximate DOB is September 2007 and she weighs approximately 50 lbs. Lottie has very mild allergies and a bit of dry eye...a Benadryl during peak allergy season and eye drops (that she allows to be administered with ease) takes care of it! Lottie is potty trained and is perfecting her leash skills; she does fine in a crate but she really doesn't need to be crated because she doesn't chew up or destroy things.
**Sea Dog Rescue is a foster home based rescue - we do not have a shelter or kennel facility nor do we have regular hours when our companions can be seen. For the safety of our foster caregivers and our dogs, applications must be submitted and references checked prior to setting an appointment for a Meet and Greet with our dogs in our foster homes.**
All of our dogs have some potty training under their belly, however, dogs less than 8 months of age are not considered reliably potty trained. Most of our dogs less than 6 months of age are not yet spayed or neutered but this will be done by the rescue when they are 6 months old and is included in the adoption fee; these dogs enter homes as "Foster to Adopt" and ownership transfer will not occur until after surgical sterilization is completed. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, including rabies if they are old enough. Microchipping is included in the adoption fee.
Adoption fee covers vetting received while in the rescue:
All age appropriate Vaccinations, including rabies (if old enough) Deworming Monthly flea/tick treatment and heartworm prevention Spay or neuter surgery Pre-surgical blood work Post-surgical pain management Microchip Sea Dog Rescue may be able to arrange free, safe transport for our Sea Dogs to their new homes FOSTERS NEEDED! Sea Dog Rescue is looking for Foster Caregivers who will temporarily give a home and lots of love to our companions while they await their forever home!
