Help these feline leukemia positive cats, they have no place to go! They need foster homes at least until spring, when we can build them their own little cat house. Of course they are all up for adoption too, and they are some awesome cats! If you would like to foster or adopt one of these cats, please let us know! They should be in a home with no other cats because the feline leukemia virus is highly contagious. But only cats can get it, so people and dogs are OK.
Macintosh is a big mush. He would love to spend all day just hanging out with people and getting plenty of lap time -- and lots of snacks of course. Hey, he's a big guy! He's kind of clumsy too, but that just adds to his charm. He's like a big goofy dog and he loves people! Macintosh is eager to get out of his cage and into a place where he can find people to love him.
Maxine (Max) is a pretty and sweet girl who acts more kitten than cat. She LOVES toys and having fun stuff to do. She could entertain you for hours, and then relax and snuggle with you when she's tired. You will want to pet her all the time -- Max is unbelievably soft! Max's brother Pomeroy is a lot like her and they would make a cute match.
Pomeroy is Maxine's brother and he is also very playful. He coos and purrs and trills all the time because he's always happy! Pomeroy is sooo cute! He will roll over and over to get you to rub his tummy. He just pulls out all the stops to get attention and love. Being held, giving kisses, getting petted -- he will soak up as much as you can give! Pomeroy is just a sweet little teddy bear and a big baby.
Pickles is the smallest one and we were afraid she wouldn't make it. Now she's healthy and happy and -- let's be honest -- quite full of herself! She was born to be a princess and that's all there is to it!. And after all she's been through, who can blame her? Pickles is also a comedian and a real charmer. If you like cats who are real characters, maybe Pickles is the one for you!
If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: http://www.commcat.org . Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. Our adoption fees are $50 for adult cats, $85 for kittens under one year, and double the love with two adult cats for $85. All cats are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested for FIV and FeLV (feline leukemia), and microchipped.
