Magic is currently being evaluated by an Orthopedic specialist due to his rather unusual gait and a mild case of Spondylosis, which can be presently managed by keeping his weight under control and providing him opportunities for lots of good exercise. We will know more about his unusual style of running/walking as soon as he has completed the additional testing and results are available.
Magic is just one of those dogs that every time you look at him, he makes you smile. He is a quiet boy that has a huge, goofy personality. He would love nothing more than to play ball 24/7. Even if you don’t have time to play with him, he has his own special game he’ll play by himself. He is very respectful of furniture and will ask permission before getting on the sofa with you. He has never had an accident in the house and given the chance I believe he’d be great loose in the house when left alone. He wants nothing more than to please and be loved by his people. He has some not so subtle ways of telling you what he wants. When he wants to play ball, he’ll toss it on the sofa beside me. When he thinks it’s time to go for a walk, he’ll get his leash and drag it through the house. When both dogs are leashed and ready to go, he’ll grab his foster sister’s leash and take her for a walk around the house. She happily trots alongside of him.
Magic does has seasonal allergies, which will require baths at least once per week. He is great while bathing and stands like a good boy! He also has a mild case of spondylosis and an unusual gait. This is not causing this boy any pain whatsoever and it doesn’t stop him from running full speed after his ball.
More to follow once we have more information once we have test results.
