Nellie was rescued from a shelter where she was scared in her cage and was there for weeks. Once out she is timid but friendly and sweet. Good with other dogs and plays. She hates the crate/cage (who can blame her) and will whine/bark at first but will settle. She sniffed and seemed to be timid of the vet office cat. Nellie loves to run and zoom around will need daily exercise and basic training. Update: Nellie was adopted in 2009 but she was returned to us since previous home could not train her. She was on mood alternating drugs for anxiety but she does not need them. She is doing well at her foster home with other small dogs. Gets along with other dogs. Alarm barks when 2nd person comes home but settles. She needs someone home more and needs a loving person to truly commit to guide and exercise her to be a wonderful friend and companion. She is now a happy girl!
