Nicholas is a great dog! He is energetic and loving. He is about 2 1/2 years old, Great Dane mix as far as we know and enjoys a lot of play time. He is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and ready for his new home. He originally was found wondering the streets of Phoenix lost and confused. Our animal behavoralist determined he was really friendly, liked other dogs and just needed to get out of "jail."
AZ Paws and Claws took him away from all of the fear and confusion of being in the shelter and now he awaits being placed in a new home to live his life to the fullest! Nicholas needs to find a family who has a schedule he can learn from. His new family should understand possible anxiety he may have and stay diligent to make sure he doesn't bolt if given the chance. He is familiar with crate training but if left alone too long he tends to try and get out of the crate. But he is eager to please and wants to learn the rules.
Dog meet and greets would be a necessary part of our adoption process just so he can meet the canine family members. We don't know his reaction to cats, so he would do better in a household without cats at this time.
Nicholas is so friendly, active and excited. He is good on a leash, curious and likes to sniff everywhere so he can check it all out. Are you his new family? If you would like to meet Nicholas, please go to our website at www.azpawsandclaws.com and fill out an Adoption Interest Application.
Thank you for looking at Nicholas and THANK YOU FOR RESCUING!
