My name is Nika! I was a friendly cat living in a feral colony. My caretaker noticed I was crying in pain whenever I ate, so Stray Haven took me in and got me to a vet. Turns out that I had a severe throat infection, as well as stomatitis, but after antibiotics and pain meds, I am feeling MUCH better! I receive a steroid shot at the vet every three weeks, and this helps my stomatitis and keeps me comfortable. I will be getting a full mouth extraction soon, which should fix my problem!
I am a very petite girl - only about 6 pounds. I'm a brown tabby with sad but sweet little eyes that my foster meowmy thinks are very unique and endearing. I am very outgoing and sweet and get along well with other kitties. The vet thinks I am about 8 years young (as of December 2014). Did you know it's not uncommon for a cat to live to be 20? That means I'm not even middle aged! I have plenty of life to live and love to give! I'm a very easygoing, low maintenance girl who would love to spend forever with YOU!
Nika is eligible for our Senior Cats for Senior Laps foster program. Learn more here: http://strayhavenrescue.org/seniors/
