*****HAS LIVED WITH DOGS AND SMALL CHILDREN********
You would think that being born on St. Patrick's day would have given Pearlie and her little kitty family a bit of good luck, but sadly, just the opposite happened. Pearlie and her siblings were born to their mom in a storm drain during a very harsh storm and when they were found the next day, they were barely alive. The foster parent had to tube feed the little kittens because they were too sick to nurse on mom, and mom was too sick to care for her kittens. After months of medical attention and effort, the kittens recovered to varying degrees. Pearlie lost an eye, has a chronically stuffy nosy and also has a touch of a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. The CH means she has a slightly wobbly walk, but she is highly functional and can walk and play and use a litter box just fine.
Pearlie would love to be adopted with her sister Belle, who looks just like her. Belle and Pearlie curl up and sleep together, and they love to hang out together throughout the day. Pearlie would love a home with someone who can see the "special" and doesn't mind the "needs". This little girl is affectionate, calm, outgoing and social. Pearlie has lived with small dogs and young children and is comfortable with them.
