My name is Precious. I am available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. I came to CCR from a shelter in New Mexico. There is very little history on me. CCR has been told I am a Lab Retriever Mix breed and about 2 years old and 46 lbs but that is just a guess made by shelter staff, rescue volunteers, and our veterinarians.
I am a super fun girl who is crate trained and housebroken. I'm also the perfect mix of a family dog and a watch dog. If a stranger comes up, I will let you know and stay by your side until you let me know they can be trusted. I come when called by name and I do know that my name is “Precious”. I am intelligent and I take calm instruction well and know commands “sit”, “stay”, and “lay down”. I love to go on walks and think running and hiking would be great.
I love people and kids. I must have a decent sized yard to run around in and I LOVE to explore! I also need a 6' fence that I can't jump over and chase those pesky squirrels. A walk every day is something I need that will help keep boredom away; 30 minutes should be fine! I haven't been around cats yet but given how I like to chase squirrels, I probably shouldn't be in a home with them. I like other dogs but I can get territorial and I probably play too rough for smaller dogs under 30 lbs.
I really just love my humans and want to be with them and protect them. I'm just looking for that forever home that I can call my own. I just want to be part of a family and for you to be my best friend.
If you are interested in adopting Precious please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $175.00 adoption donation for Precious. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.
