Brayleigh is an approximately 5 month old Boxer/ hound mix girl that was rescued as a terrified pup from a high-kill TN shelter. Due to her lack of early socialization, Brayleigh may take a little bit to warm up to people and has progressed leaps and bounds since we have had her the past month. Her trust can usually be won very quickly (and having treats doesn't hurt!), and once she does warm up, she becomes quite the love bug. Brayleigh loves, loves, loves other dogs (except that dog she discovered in the mirror this morning. She was shocked to see herself in the mirror). Furthermore,we feel that she will need other dogs as she continues to progress in her social skills. Though Brayleigh has not interacted with cats, she will probably get along with them. She's submissive and respectful to other dogs, even though she is now bigger than all of those she is living with currently. She weighed 26 pounds at her last vet visit; she's probably around 30 pounds now. Once Brayleigh is comfortable, she's a loving, goofy, hand-chewing, tug-of-warring pup! We can’t wait to see this girl in another 5 months and how different and more relaxed she will be with life due to love and caring that we know waits for her out there by someone or some family.
