A former adopter contacted one of our volunteers to say they witnessed a dog being hit by a car during a thunderstorm. Volunteers went out and found Remi under a bush in a great deal of pain.
Hoping the dog was chipped and an owner looking for her, ART transported her to the emergency vet and tried without success to find her people. No one came forward so ART located a foster home and began to address her medical needs. She had a dislocated elbow on her right front leg and a dislocated hip on her back left leg. She had undergone two surgeries and some extensive physical therapy and is now looking for her forever home. She is great with other dogs and women but is a little uncertain of men and she will need a little time to warm up. Remi is a very sweet and loyal dog and would make a great companion for a patient and calm household.
