We believe Sweetie is about 6 years old as of March, 2015 and what a sweetie! She is very well behaved and does not meet a stranger. She is gentle and affectionate with everyone. Just a really nice little dog (weighs about 30 pounds) and is a staff favorite here. She gets along well with other dogs (female and male) and walks on a leash. We are not sure about house training, but crate training a dog her age is usually no problem. With an older dog, you can already see their personalities and know exactly who you are adopting. She would do well with any type of family. She will be spayed and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention.
Sweetie did test positive for heartworms. Not her fault, she just did not get proper care by the humans who were supposed to protect her. We currently have her on the slow kill method. We will be providing heartworm treatment for her and are currently raising funds. If you would like to help sponsor her, please use the donate button on our site at www.richardsonrescue.org. Please note that your donation is for Sweetie. She has such a wonderful, sweet personality, we don't think this should keep her from getting her second chance.
If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application at www.richardsonrescue.org. For questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
