All of our dogs are in foster homes and we have no paid staff. If you have questions concerning a specific dog, PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch. We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs until your application is processed. Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments. Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants. The adopter will be chosen at that time. The process can take anywhere from a week to a month. We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!
A few weeks ago, I traveled to a shelter in West Virginia to pick up a few puppies that are being fostered by our rescue. When I arrived, I was greeted by a sweet little chihuahua who had been stuck there for way too long looking for a family to adopt him. It broke my heart leaving him there, but I already had a full house and couldn't take another dog. I promised him as soon as one of my fosters got adopted, I would be back for him.
Yesterday, Tidbit got to come to PA. He got to play in the grass with my other dogs, cuddle up on the couch and actually sleep in a real house. In the one day that he has been here, he has shown us that he is even sweeter than I could have imagined. He is so happy, gets along with dogs and cats and is just an awesome little dog. He has so much love to give and deserves a family to spend the rest of his life with. If you want to meet Tidbit, please fill out an adoption application.
UPDATE: I just have to say that Tidbit cracks me up! He is such a quirky little bugger...he lays on the back of the couch like a cat and breaths in your ear, when you pick him up he instantly curls up his legs into a ball and licks you in the nose (just one lick then he's done) and he LOVES my my big pittie girl. When I tell them it's bed time, they go squish into the same dog bed and go right to sleep. He would love to find a family with another dog to play and cuddle with. You really have to meet this little guy!

Please understand we do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A dog is a lifetime commitment. The dogs in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners :( We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the dog is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
