Tyson is an adorable, lovable boy who has been living in our very active household with four children, ages 6 to 14. He adapts very well to the activity level. If it is play time he is all for it!! If it is bed time he is all about it!! He is housebroken (has never had one accident while in our care), does not chew furniture, household items or toys, etc. He is only interested in his own toys and bones. He loves to cuddle and lay in any room you are in...even if it means lying on the hard tile or hardwood floors. Otherwise, he definitely prefers a soft spot on the couch or bed. He is very low maintenance and is left for several hours a day while we are at school and work. He is not crated or isolated to one room. He has freedom to roam the house and has never gotten into any mischief in our absence.
Tyson loves to play and LOVES to ride in the car! He accompanies us everywhere we can take him. Quick rides in the morning for school drop offs, afternoon practice drop off and picks ups and any other errand he can sneak into the car for are all equally exciting for him! He waits quietly and patiently curled in up in the seat if you need to pit stop at the store!! He is a great copilot. Tyson is happy to go anywhere and loves to go for walks. He needs work on walking on a leash. He loves to run and to romp in our fenced yard and rarely barks. However, he will definitely bark at a passing truck, motorcycle or anything loud!!
Tyson attaches to people quickly and is very protective. He is very alert and watches out doors and windows very intently when we are home. When he first came to us he seemed to lack socialization and trainers told us he suffered from fear aggression. He was very uneasy in certain situations and acted aggressively toward strangers (nipping at them). Over the past eight months Tyson has become much more relaxed and socialized. He seems to tolerate situations and strangers much better.
He would do well in a home where he would get lots of love and affection. Tyson would prefer to be the only dog in the house, but would certainly love older children to love him, play with him and walk him! He would make a wonderful family dog and companion. He is eager to please, easy to please and is looking for his forever home!
